Dahlia Digging + Dividing Demo
Live demo + take-home guide
Sunday Oct 4 | 11:00-11:45am
If you’ve ever wondered when to dig dahlias, how to store them for winter, or how to tell which tubers are actually worth keeping, this one is for you.
Join me at the farm for a live dahlia digging and dividing demonstration covering the full process from lifting plants out of the ground to cleaning, identifying viable tubers and eyes, dividing, and storing them for next season.
Because early October is still a little early to dig the entire field, this will be a demonstration-style class rather than a full hands-on workshop — which means you can watch the process up close, ask questions, and learn exactly what to do with your own dahlias at home.
You’ll learn:
- When dahlias are ready to be dug
- How to lift clumps without damaging tubers with live demo
- Cleaning and preparing tubers for storage
- How to identify eyes and viable tubers
- When and how to divide with live demo
- My approach to winter storage
You’ll also receive a take-home Dahlia Digging + Dividing Guide so you don’t have to remember everything once you get home.
